Prototype Modular House

Award winning housing project designed to show case the potential of  volumetric construction within the mass housing market.

 Constructed off-site the four modular unit scheme was designed to be installed on-site on a single day with minimal enabling and post installation works.

Providing well proportioned living spaces and three generous bedrooms the house also features a double height entrance hall and staircase, which also acts as a passive stack-ventilation device.

 This was one of a number of sustainable features which, combined with extensive use of modern methods of construction, successfully demonstrates an alternative to the traditional construction approaches typically used within the mass housing market.
